Ahmedabad, September 19, 2025: A special event was held at Dinesh Hall on September 19, 2025, to promote the sports textiles and activewear manufacturing industry in Ahmedabad. The event was organized by the Textiles Association of India (TAI), Ahmedabad Chapter, chaired by Dr. Ashwin Thakkar. The aim of the event was to educate Ahmedabad's industrialists and investors about the sports apparel industry and encourage investment in this sector.

More than 70 potential investors attended the event. The main presentation was delivered by TBD (Unified Knowledge Services Pvt. Ltd.). Mr. Ravi Bhushan Arora, CEO, and Mr. Kumar Abhishek, Managing Director of TBD, played a key role in making the event a success.

Key Highlights of the Event:

•  The event began with a welcome address by Dr. Ashwin Thakkar, Chairman of TAI. He explained how the importance of sports textiles is steadily increasing in the growing Indian market.

•  Following this, Mr. Ravi Bhushan Arora of TBD showcased various sports apparel and activewear products. He discussed the demand in the international and domestic markets, as well as the opportunities and challenges of manufacturing these products in India.

•  Owners of well-known Indian sportswear brands were also present at the event. Mr. Sharad Tandon, CEO of Strch, and Mr. Mridul Das, Founder of Sportskin, stated that they prefer sourcing materials from Indian companies, provided they can deliver high quality and large quantities.  Mr. Dinesh Kewani of the Korean company Hyosung India assured a consistent supply of raw materials (such as Lycra and Nylon).

•  Representatives from machinery companies from Taiwan, Korea, and Europe showcased modern technologies and machines that will facilitate the production of sportswear.

Investors Showed Strong Interest

At the end of the day, Mr. Ravi Bhushan Arora, explained to the investors how they could achieve good profits with low investment in this business. He also provided information on the cost and potential earnings of some projects. TBD announced that it would provide all reports and information to investors free of charge through its mobile app.

The biggest success of this event was the direct interaction between investors and companies. By the end of the event, 17 potential investors gave their feedback to TBD Advisory, demonstrating their keen interest in entering this industry.
